Security for today and tomorrow

  • Old strengths in new clothing: The purpose of renaming Raiffeisen Bank (Liechtenstein) as Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein is to highlight our core expertise in the field of private banking.

Vaduz, Liechtenstein (12.05.2011). New name, great trust: From now on, Raiffeisen Bank (Liechtenstein) will be known as Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein. The main reason for the new name is to stress the Bank’s core lines of business, to wit private banking and trust banking, as well as its identity as a private bank. «We want to further build on the quality of our individual cross-border asset management solutions, while also creating further added value in the business of sustained and security-oriented asset growth, combining all that, as before, with plenty of dedication, closeness to clients and solidity,» says director Ludwig Rehm.

The most important factors making Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein a reliable partner for the future are its deep understanding of the wishes and needs of clients with international investment interests, coupled with its sound business policies. The Bank also benefits from over 30 years of private banking experience from Walser Privatbank. Furthermore, clients profit from the Bank’s independence, because only independent banking institutions enable advisers to offer product-neutral advice and thus identify the best possible long-term asset growth solutions. «Our advisers put themselves in the situation of individual investors and analyse their risk appetite, needs and specific wishes, thus being in a position, taking into account all their assets at home and abroad, to offer personally tailored packages,» explains Ludwig Rehm. The fact that Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein always devises successful individual asset management solutions has been confirmed repeatedly by reputable banking tests that attest to the outstandingly high quality of the advisory service provided by the Privatbank. Currently the Bank heads the «all-time best» list of Liechtenstein private banking specialists for the fourth consecutive year. The list is published by the Fuchs Report independent bank testers.

Trust through security

This security and reliability is safeguarded not just by our advisers but also by the Liechtenstein financial centre itself: the principality offers a regulatory framework, level of political stability and national budgetary strength that other western industrialised countries can currently only dream about. On top of this, in the Swiss franc, Liechtenstein possesses a strong and internationally esteemed currency that further underpins the Principality’s stability. It is no surprise, then, that rating agency Standard & Poor’s gives the principality its highest possible AAA rating.

The state is not alone in providing a bedrock of stability. Like Raiffeisen Privatbank Liechtenstein itself, Liechtenstein as a banking centre focuses firmly on private and trust banking and has built up a worldwide reputation, and for very good reasons. Firstly, the banks of this compact model state on the upper Rhine have always steered well clear of the risky financial instruments that precipitated the recent financial crisis. Furthermore, the vast bulk of Liechtenstein’s financial institutions enjoy high levels of capital adequacy. «This environment provides the perfect conditions and incentive for us to offer our clients the best possible service and position ourselves as one of the top names in private and trust banking,» stresses Ludwig Rehm.
